June 24, 2011

On June 23, 2011, The New Hampshire Bio/Med Council hosted another Best In Bio series event titled, "I have an idea. How do I get funding?" It was hosted at the Sheraton Harborside, Portsmouth, NH.

Throughout the year, the New Hampshire Bio/Medical Council sponsors a series of education events called Best In Bio. This event focused on the many great ideas that do not get to the marketplace because of a lack of funding. The health care and life sciences sectors have been growing in the past year with increases in angel and venture capital funding, and these were highlighted by the panel.

The New Hampshire Bio/Medical Council brought together industry experts to discuss this important aspect of our business and to field questions. The panel included: Attorney Karin A. Gregory, MPH, Managing Partner, Furman Gregory Deptula; Jeffrey E. Sohl, Director of the Center for Venture Research at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire; and John Hamilton, founder and Managing Director of the Community Loan Fund's Vested for Growth program. The event was emceed by Nancy M. Briefs, MBA.

We look forward to sharing their presentations with you soon. Please check back for updates and we hope to see you at the next Best In Bio event!
